We had a successful 2016 harvest, folks! On September first we harvested our 2 acres of Pinot Noir grapes and got in close to three tons. The fruit looked great this year as we had a healthy crop load and little problems with rot, botrytis, or powdery mildew. We are partnering with a local winemaker who purchased the grapes from us and is going to make some wine. In the week after the Pinot pick, we picked the Chardonnay and it came in at about 25 brix. The fruit was pressed and yielded about 20 gallons of juice, which is currently going through a native yeast fermentation.
